Thanks Alix. Yes, that's the same one. I got the name wrong. The cormorants
were sitting on the beach at the south point.

I also checked that Yarmouth Harbour Island (known officially as Doctors
Island) with the scope this morning and had 9 Great Blue Herons. Ronnie
d'Entremont had also checked yesterday and had none, so they arrived
overnight.
I've heard that Doctors Island used to be a nice place to visit and spend
time in the shade of the trees.

Subject: [NatureNS] Cormorants and Great Blues
Hi All,
Two Double-crested Cormorants and six Great Blue Herons arrived at the Johns
Island nesting colony in Yarmouth Harbour this morning. There seemed to be
more cormorants crouching in grass, perhaps recovering from their journey. I
couldn't tell for sure.
None of these were there yesterday when I checked.
John
