Thank you John. I was hoping you might do this type of analysis for these re=
cent arrivals. More Indigo Bunting continue to be reported, as well as RB Gr=
osbeak. So far no new Blue Grosbeak sightings, on FB at least.=20

ind modeling. It looks like 2 different sources arising from the same weathe=
r system brought the Indigo Buntings. The first group was off the coast of t=
he Carolinas on the evening of 15 April and arrived in western Nova Scotia o=
n the afternoon of 16 April. The other group left or was in the vicinity of B=
ermuda the evening of 16 April arriving over an extensive geographical area o=
f Nova Scotia on the afternoon of the 17th but focused on the South Shore. T=
his last group was accompanied by some Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Blue Gros=
beaks which are common spring migrants in Bermuda in the spring. I suspect m=
ost birds arrived via Bermuda.

are of it now because it is a species that is so noticeable at bird feeders a=
nd lawns and people have a reporting tool on Facebook.
