I had posted a while back asking about ducks with whistling wings. This morning I saw one flying overhead- a Hooded Merganser. That makes sense as they are a common sight in this area during the breeding season (they weren’t in the past, however). Saw a male tagging along after a female today on a nearby marsh. Not much life on this cattail marsh yet. Only one Peeper calling today, a Wood Frog, no Red-winged Blackbirds (but they are in the area).
