Dear All,
Today I noticed a male American Goldfinch feeding in the garden;=20
hard to miss.
Last summer, during the feeder scare, I saw some feeding on just=20
matured Knapweed ( Centaurea nigra) seeds; much earlier than the usual=20
fall/winter feeding on these seeds. So I tied several armloads with=20
matured seed into bundles supported by a pole well above snow height (or=20
cats) but saw no feeding over winter.
