Well on Wednesday, we found the Monarch larva and this afternoon, after the rains, we saw our first Monarch adult. It flew back and forth across our field of milkweed stopping every so often. After one stop, I examined the milkweed plant closely but there was no eggs.

The Monarch was a female, a bit faded but in good shape.I followed it around the field and did not scare up any others. I hope it stays around and more join it.
