On June 21 I was birding along the RR bed east of the Scotian Gold plant in=
Coldbrook. I watched a bird flying high and then landing on a tall deciduo=
us tree. I could see then it was an Eastern Kingbird. About 2 mins later an=
other flew in from the West and the two took flight flying very high toward=
s Kentville. As a backdrop, on the Migratory Count Day (May 12) I noted an =
E. Kingbird at the pond just east of the Scotian Gold Plant. I normally wal=
k this line 4-5 times weekly and noted the Kingbird each time including Ju=
ne 21. This Kingbird has not been seen at the pond since. After seeing the =
two KIngbirds fly together to the East, I can only assume one was the same=
Kingbird. So the bird stayed over five weeks at the pond until a suitable =
mate came along!!
