My error. I heard this “BW Hawk” again today. And then it switched to the chirping of an Eagle. Once I found the caller it turned out to be a Blue Jay. It had both myself and the feeder birds completely fooled.

I do read In Ian McLaren’s book that some juveniles linger and occasionally overwinter. Don’t think that would be a call even a Blue Jay could mimic.
