Here in the banana belt, ours is in flower, with new shoots still budding.  Saw the first bud Feb. 24.  Then it snowed again!

(Eranthis hyemalis) opening its bud.
Winter Aconite is of European origin,
planted along the South facing foundation
at our place in Halifax.
