I saw this sick Purple Finch at the feeders this morning (E Dalhousie, Kings Co). Only had a few Purples this winter and all were healthy. So I took my feeders down and others may want to do the same to prevent bird-to-bird spread of this finch disease in the warmer conditions to come (Trichomoniasis I believe). As Paul always says, feeding birds is for the birdwatcher, rather than the birds. Agree. And now that the decent weather has finally arrived this birdwatcher can go elsewhere to see birds.
