Marg Millard and others have been seeing them. I had one or two at the Fre=
nch Basin Trail on June 10. Saw lots of other butterfly species as well in=
cluding Tiger Swallowtails.

Sincerely,

James R. Hirtle
LaHave

JUNE 12, 2019 =97 This afternoon, Pat Hawes walked with Debbie Moore in our=
forest adjacent to the Woodman Grove property in east-end Wolfville, and t=
hey saw a large orangle-and-black butterfly that Pat thinks was probably a =
MONARCH. Have there been any such reports yet this year? Now is the time =
to look for the early migrants when they arrive in eastern Canada, even tho=
ugh some of our local plants have been late in flowering.

Cheers from Jim Wolford in Wolfville.
