This afternoon there was a Rail chick at Miner's Marsh that I almost steppe=
d on. It appeared to be all black although the underneath could have been a=
 lighter colour. It ran back in the cattails.
Although Soras and Virginia Rails are black at at this age, one has to pres=
ume it was a Sora. It seems rather late for Soras (and Virginia Rails) to h=
ave young(?) but I haven't researched that aspect.
(I'm not certain that the location should be made public since it would be =
easy to flush this one out).
