Had a solitary goldfinch at the feeders this morning. They are here all summer but haven't seen any for a while.
Also had an interesting sighting at Queensland Beach on Thursday. There was a small flock of very small seabirds swimming and diving at the edge of the surf and by their color and size I am pretty certain they were Dovekies which I haven't seen here before. They didn't stick around because I went back about an hour later with binoculars and they had gone.Peter StowHubbards
