The sparrow found by Lise Bell at Green Bay on Dec. 5 and initially posted =
as a vesper sparrow is actually a lark bunting. I was able to get pictures=
 of the bird today.

Of note the first common goldeneyes for this winter that I've seen arrived =
on the LaHave River today.

The Baltimore oriole that has been tending at the Keneficks in Riverport wa=
s still present today. I'm told that it disappeared for three days but ret=
urned and that it has been present since then every day. I struck out on i=
t for the second time. Janice Kenefick had another Baltimore oriole yester=
day at the intersection of the Indian Path Road and the Fish Peddler's Road=
.

There were 456 Canada Geese at First South today. I've never seen a group =
of hooded mergansers so large before in this area, with 205.

I went after the yellow-breasted chat in Lunenburg that is still tending at=
the residence of Barbara McLean. This bird is on the shore curved road th=
at turns to the left across from the bowling alley. That is if you are hea=
ded into Lunenburg. It curves around to Green Street and the house on the =
right just before you enter Green Street is where the bird is tending. I s=
truck out on it for a second time, but was rewarded with two pine warblers,=
one a bright yellow one and the other totally opposite and very dull.
