Dear All,

Last fall the Venetian blind hanger in the Bathroom broke and I could
find no source of blinds so patched it up lowered and with slats closed.
And later last fall I covered all of the windows inside with a
transparent film held in place using two-sided adhesive tape.
When the sun shines on that window the heat radiating into the
bathroom seems much more evident than heat coming in a bedroom window
which faces the same way.
I am wondering if those Venetian blind slats are acting as a
passive heat valve; passing more radiant heat into the room than is
radiated back to the window.
