hi all - one thing I started doing a while back was trying to document the =
ticks we've picked up in our nature travels.
I take a picture of them with my phone, and then add the observation to iNa=
turalist.
There's a tick tracking project you can join which is interested in the dat=
a (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/tick-tracking). After you join, an=
y tick observations you add are automatically included in the project.

I=92d be interested in knowing the species and if others have had experienc=
es similar to mine. I have pulled lots of Dog Ticks from just at the hair l=
ine on the back of my neck but have yet to find a BL tick attached there. F=
or me it is more common to find them at the backs of the knees, in the groi=
n area, under the arms and around the torso. Have even had one attached bet=
ween my fingers so I suspect they are seeking areas where the skin is thinn=
er.

Subject: [NatureNS] Tick
Dear All,
In North Alton woods briefly today and longer cutting old shoots
and topping green shoots in patch of wild Blackberries. Came home with a
tick on the back of my neck. First his year. Not sure if it is deer or dog.
