Learning to use Mailing Lists

What are mailing lists? They are a way in which a community of like-minded people, who can be scattered all over the globe, can carry on a continuing discussion on the topic which interests them.

It's an electronic 'room' filled with people who are fascinated with exactly the same subject you are! They might be in Katmandu or Timbuktu but you can swap opinions with them on a daily basis.

The medium of this conversation is EMail and a program called a listserver. It allows you to 'subscribe' to a list just like you would a magazine that intersts you and, presto, you're connected to people who share your concerns. Interested? Read on!
