MURPHY, Michael
Born In: Colliers, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Passed in: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: October 7th, 2014
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Murphy on October 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Murphy, and children Rachael Baker (Jeff), Gerard Murphy, Sean Murphy (Angelique), Kelly Dumaresque (Kirby) and Laurie Murphy (Erica). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Caitlynn and Mason Baker, Samuel and Cameron Murphy, Andrew and Mackenzie Dumaresque, and Oliver and Maya Murphy.
He worked and lived in Labrador City for 36 years. One of the pioneer cabin builders on the Ashuanipi River, Mike enjoyed everything the Labrador wilderness offered. Those who knew him knew his doors were always open and you might find a drink on the other side of the door. We love you and will miss you Dad.
