According to Scots Kith and Kin, Clan MacAllan was in Aberdeenshire
in the 17th Century, and in Kirkcudbrightshire in the 14th Century.
It is a sept of: Clan MacFarlane, Clan MacKay, Clan Grant
and Clan MacDonald of Clan Ranald.
