Spencer House Seniors Centre is a drop-in activity centre for older adults. The main focus at Spencer House is our hot lunch program, served at noon, Monday - Friday. The price is $ 3.50 for members, and $ 4.00 for non-members. Reservations are not necessary unless we are serving a special luncheon for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter.
Spencer House is located at 5596 Morris Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3J 1C2, telephone (902) 421-6131. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please be sure to visit our Spencer House Web Site
At Spencer House you will find a Public Access Terminal for older adults, for the Chebucto Community Net. If you are an older adult you are welcome to drop in and use the computer at no charge.
"Introduction to Chebucto Community Net" Workshops run monthly. Please e-mail, or call us to sign up for a workshop. The Intro Workshop is geared to first time users who have no internet experience. For users who have taken the intro workshop group support is available on Fridays at 1:00 p.m., facilitated by Paul Blaauw. Thanks Paul!
Would you like to "dress up" your e-mail messages? Just add a smiley to your e-mail! Your basic smiley :-) is used to inflect a sarcastic, or joking statement. Winky smiley ;-) is used when you have made a flirtatious/ and or sarcastic remark. Frowny smiley :-( is used when the user is upset, or depressed about something. Or, if your just plain happy use this smiley :).
