- It's Christmas and Nothing to Do! -

Spencer House Senior's Centre is a drop-in activity centre for seniors. The main focus at Spencer House is our hot lunch program, served at noon, Monday - Friday. The price is $ 3.50 for members, and $ 4.00 for non-members. Reservations are not necessary unless we are serving a special luncheon for holidays such as Christmas.

Spencer House is located at 5596 Morris Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3J 1C2, telephone (902) 421-6131. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please be sure to visit our Spencer House Web Site

Public Access Terminal

At Spencer House you will find a Public Access Terminal for seniors, for the Chebucto Community Net. If you are a senior you are welcome to drop in and use the computer at no charge.

Internet Workshops

"Introduction to Chebucto Community Net" Workshops are offered monthly by TaMarah. Please e-mail, or call us to sign up for a workshop. The Intro Workshop is geared to first time users who have no internet experience. For users who have taken the intro workshop group support is available by appointment. Please call 421-6131 for more information. One to one support is facilitated by Paul Blaauw. Thanks TaMarah and Paul!

Introduction to Computer Workshops

Keyin Technical College, 6960 Mumford Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3L 4P1, phone 454-4170 is our sponsor for the "Introduction to Computer Workshops." Workshops are hands on at the college and will give you an overview of computers, computer termino logy, as well as an introduction to Windows 95.
