MacWeb is a www broswer for use with a full internet
provider. It cannot be used for surfing from CCN. I can be used, however,
for reviewing html documents off line, allowing Mac users to develop their
home pages, etc., and then upload the final product. There is very little
documentation with this program. Version 1.00 Alpha 3.
Mosaic is a very popular www broswer. Here is a link
to the NCSAMosaic Mac version page. Note that this browser cannot be used
for direct connection to CCN.
A browser that is even more popular than Mosaic. Here is
a link to the Netscape mirror page that will allow you to download it
from several locations. Note again, that this browser cannot be used for
direct connection to CCN.
HTML Viewer is another small www browser. Freeware, good for
viewing/checking html documents after downloading/before uploading to CCN.
Scanned with disinfectant 3.6.
Shareware. A www page editor with a nice Macintosh interface.
Registration is $25.00 US. System requirements: MacOS version 7.0 or
greater, Aprox. 1MB of disk space, 700k minimum of free RAM. You will also
require a separate web browser to view complete d pages - MacWeb works
quite nicely if you want a small setup on your Mac. Scanned with Disinfectant 3.6.
