It's Working!

Hard working Chebucto volunteers and generous CCN users have
helped raise over $2300 in the second weekend of the CCN
phone Canvass. Even members of the Chebucto Board joined in the
action with both Membership Chair Marni Tuttle and Board Chair Peter
Morgan working phones. As well, Board members personally donated
over $1000 to the cause.

"A lot of people really like the service and find the email
very useful", said Sharon Molloy, a first time Canvass volunteer.

The canvass will run next
Friday evening and Saturday afternoon to help raise funds to help offset the costs
of upgrading aging modems and other system needs.
Volunteers
are still very much needed to help man phones and
stuff envelopes. Free munchies and prizes are available. Please
come on down and help out!

Old CCN Domain Names Expire!

The old CCN domain names
ccn·cs·dal·ca and
cfn·cs·dal·ca are
being officially retired at the request of our upstream service provider,
the Network Operations Centre at Dalhousie University.
All links and bookmarks to pages and addresses on CCN using these names will
soon no longer work. Changing these links and addresses to
chebucto.ns.ca now will
ensure trouble-free continuing access to them.

Over the next couple of weeks all references to these outdated addresses will
be purged from CCN files and documents including User Profiles.
