Hi Dwight,

   When you select Connect, it should give you a small box that allows you
to view which modem is selected before proceeding to dial.  Scroll the
arrow in that box until you highlight your modem.  Sometimes, the software
believes it sees another modem in the system (Windows will sometimes hold
on to older data and use it as current data).  Once you have successfully
dialed in using the new selection, it will become the defacto standard for
your system and will work automatically after that.

   Your voice modem will work fine for data as well.  Some older data-only
modems didn't allow voice connections.
