Hi Rob,

How are you downloading? Plus graphical/PPP connection or text dial-up
through a terminal program? Are you using ZModem? Do you have CRC set to
32? Are you experiencing any other prooblems with your connection?
Although you have scanned the system with anti-virus, you should get a
free copy of both Ad-Aware 2007 (there may be a newer version now from
www.lavasoft.com) and SpyBot v1.6. There are files called adware and
malware which anti-virus programs can't detect but these programs can
detect and these *ware files have been known cause the effects you're
seeing.

Once I get your response, I try to find a cause but download corruption
usually originates with the sender and not the receiver, although the
final recipient's system can also skew a download. CCN would be the
receiver so wherever you're downloading from would be controlling the
status of the file itself.

When you download via the high speed connection, are you using your
computer connected to the high speed or downlaoding to your friend's
computer via high speed? A misadjustment in your system, might be doing
something to the download, which doesn't exist on your friend's system. I
would need more data concerning this to proceed further.
