Chronicle Herald on page A6.

The following is a literal transcription of the notice.

The Department of Natural Resources has applied to the
Department of Environment to conduct a spray program to
control the whitemarked tussock moth. The program is
scheduled to begin on or after June 15 in high-value forest
stands in Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough and
the northern part of Halifax counties.

Open houses are scheduled to provide information to the
public. Representatives from the Departments of Natural
Resources and the Environment will be available to answer
questions.

Open Houses will be held from 4 to 8 pm at DNR offices in:

   Bible Hill June 8
   MacLellans Brook June 9
   Antigonish June 10
   Guysborough June 11

Stands to be sprayed are identified on maps that can be
viewed from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm at any Natural Resources or
Environment Department office in Colchester, Pictou,
Antigonish, Guysborough counties, and in DNR's Middle
Musquodoboit office for stands in northern Halifax County. A
map of the stands is available upon request.

A toll-free line (1-888-519-0118) is now operating between 8
am and 5 pm weekdays for questions from woodlot owners and
the public. This phone line will have expanded hours between
6 am and 9 pm daily when the spray program begins.

The above notice was placed by the Nova Scotia Natural
Resources.
