Please distribute far and wide.... ************************************** The Bay of Fundy Ecosystem Partnership (BoFEP) and the Fundy Forum Discussion Listserver will be hosting a Timed Discussion on the topic of "Marine Protected Areas within the Bay of Fundy". This will take place on the listserver from February 7-21, 2000. Get involved! Help identify possible MPA sites in the Bay, share your experiences, voice your opinion, meet new people working in the field and more! What is a Discussion Listserver? Similar to a newspaper subscription, you must subscribe to an email discussion listserver. Once subscribed, you receive all messages that are sent to the listserver. You will also be able to send messages to all subscribed. If you ever want to remove yourself form the listserver, it's as easy as sending one email. What is a Timed Discussion? A Timed Discussion is a bit like an electronic conference. A two week period is set aside to delve into a specific topic on the listserver, in this case Marine Protected Areas from Feb 7-21. Our "virtual panel" will be starting off the discussion, just like at a real conference. After that, everyone is free to join in and contribute - ask your questions, answer someone else's, voice your ideas and opinions - whatever you like. Background and reference material is also available on the Fundy Forum web site - to get you up to speed on the latest information on the issue. All you have to do is subscribe to the Discussion Listserver. Once subscribed you will receive a message detailing how to use it.
