Greetings Nova Scotians, This is an invitation from the Queen's University
Solar Car Team to come out and see our car, Radiance, as we take off from
Halifax on July 1st this summer on our Cross Canada Tour.

We will be taking Radiance all the way to Vancouver in an attempt to set a
new world record for distance in a solar vehicle while raising awareness
of climate change and educating the public about solar energy. Our race
route will take us to 2 communities a day for both a midday and evening
stop day throughout July.

We hope to meet mostly with local students and teachers over lunchtime and
use the evening stops to give a wider audience a chance to learn about
solar and other renewable energies, not to mention get an up close look at
our solar car.

A main goal of ours for this tour is not only to inform but to motivate
Canadians to take action locally against inefficient uses of energy. At
lunch we will be promoting several school-based activities like a
build-your-own mini solar car project weve been doing in Kingston for
years. At our longer stops we'd like to help host energy expo type events.
These community based events will attract both public and media attention
as Radiance passes through your area and should help to promote your local
efforts.

If you are interested in discussing this possibility for
your group, please get back to me via email or by phone at 613-533-6682.
With your help I believe we can make our trip a truly huge Canadian
environmental and educational event and have fun in the process.

Thanks for your time.
