As you may know the Green Party of Canada will hold its' biannual
conference in Ottawa on August 4th through the 7th.
Past conferences have had approximately 60 people in attendance (see below
for details). This year I'd like to see many more - effectively, the more
the merrier.
The conference will include prominent speakers:
Elizabeth May (Sierra Club)
Duff Conacher (Democracy Watch)
Margarite Richie (Nanoone Bay Anti-nuclear protest)
Ralph Torrie (Climate change & alternative energy)
Richard Wolfson (Genetic Engineering)
Mike Kaulbars (activism, Peace and Environment Resource Center)
Joan Russow (GPC leader)
(More to be confirmed).
To make it less expensive to attend the conference the Ottawa chapter of
the Green Party of Canada is willing to issue tax receipts for expenses:
travel, registration fee, accommodations, meals et cetera.
If you'd like to help make the conference a resounding success then please
attend ,as well as contact other Greens, or Green inclined people, to join
you.
Also, I'm looking for volunteers to call those who do not have an e-mail
connection to invite them to the conference. Contact me at
johndodson@sympatico.ca or call 613 729-2751 and I'll give you a list to
call.
