URGENT - PLEASE COME TO CITY HALL, TUESDAY OCTOBER 2ND, 6 PM!!

The press release from CN and HRM states that the rail bed will be
preserved, but that tracks will be removed. Rail beds are rarely removed,
but are often made into recreational tracks. CN will remove most of the rail
that could be used for commuter rail before a proper feasibility study has
been done. The public has had no say in this matter and HRM staff have made
the decision not to pay for the upkeep of the rails while a study is done.
Transportation, and sustainable transportation to the downtown area is
essential, especially as suburbs increase and traffic on the peninsula
worsens.

Please come to city hall tomorrow evening at 6:00 to show our councillors
that we care about the future of the municipality. Demand public input and
that the next elected council address this issue immediately.

Please send this on to any community groups who would be interested.

See you there!
