FRIENDS OF McNABS ISLAND SOCIETY
Annual General Meeting

(Dartmouth, April 16, 2001) The Friends of McNabs Island Society, a non-
profit community group committed to the preservation of McNabs and
Lawlor Islands for use as a nature park, will hold their 11th Annual General
Meeting

May 1, 2001 at 7 p.m.
Findlay Community Centre
Elliot Street, Dartmouth
(off Prince Albert Road across from Sullivan's Pond)

The meeting will feature a presentation on
Collecting Oral History on McNabs Island.
Saint Mary's University professor, Jim Morrison, and Parks Canada
historian, Ron McDonald, will discuss the McNabs Island Oral History
Project and present sample interviews from people who lived or worked on
the Harbour Islands.

This is a great opportunity for those who have information or personal
experience of time spent on McNabs Island to share it with others. Professor
Morrison and Dr. McDonald plan to continue this oral history project and
will be conducting further interviews.
