Thursday, July 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nova Scotia Museum on Summer Street, on the subject
of Point Pleasant Park, the Beetle That Wasn't There. The speaker will be Stephanie Robertson,
who conducted a beetle trapping survey in the Park in 1990. Ms. Robertson, a past president
of the Halifax Field Naturalists and current vice-president of the Association, will also describe
the history of the significant influence of human activities in the Park and the results of the 2000
trapping survey within the Park (from access to information documents) and will illustrate the
talk with slides and transparencies. A brief annual meeting of the Association will also occur.
