As you know, sust-mar's mandate is to cover local, i.e. Maritime issues and events. Normally, this excludes national and/or global issues. Not because they do not have a local impact (they do!) but because they are the focus of other lists. Sust-mar does not wish to duplicate these lists, nor expose our readers to redundancy. [HINT: you can often make a national/global message local, and hence postable, by prefacing it with a local "tie-in"]. However, once a month, sust-mar will have a "special edition" which is a compilation of national/global websites submitted by readers. [HINT: preface the website with "http://" and it will create a link in some emailers].
