Seymour Green Organic Community Gardens (through NSPIRG on the Dalhousie
campus) will be building a straw bale shed on August 4th and 5th and we are
looking for volunteers to come out and lend a hand. This is a great
opportunity to learn about alternative and sustainable building methods in
a fun environment!
Building will begin at 8 in the morning and run all afternoon - volunteers
are welcome at any point throughout the day, so if you want to learn about
straw bale housing but only have a few hours to spare, feel free to come on
down.
The gardens are located behind the (former) History Department on Seymour
St. - between Seymour and Henry St. Food and refreshments will be
available.
Please contact any one of the following three with any further questions.
Jessica Brooks 422-7117
Ben Sichel 429-3472
Sarah Evans 492-4364
See you there!
