Friends and Colleagues,
I write to invite each of you to the upcoming Annual Gathering of the Nova
Scotia Environmental Network. This year's event will take place between
Saturday, September 21-23, 2001 at the Dorje Denma Ling Retreat, just south
of Tatmagouche. You DO NOT have to be a member of the Network to attend.
Please register before Wednesday, September 19th, 4pm.

Guest Speakers: Don Julien, ED, Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq & Legal
Council to the Donald Marshall Case, Eric Zscheile (Friday evening)

Workshops Topics
            *Forests (clearcutting, model forests, public lands)
            *Oceans (corals, court cases, MPAs, Oil and Gas)
            *GMOs (actions to be taken)
            *Youth Initiatives (making your organization more youth
friendly)
            *Environmental Education (developing a provincial working group)
            *Transportation (TRAX presentation and provincial discussion)

Childcare will be provided - carpooling can also be arranged

Fun and Leisure
            * Environmental Theatre Games with Hemlock Circus
            * Dance under the outdoor pavilion with DJ Dr. Martin Willison -
spinning grooves!
            * Fabulous Outdoor facility - great place to unwind from a busy
week
            * The opportunity to greet old friends and meet new ones
            * Our menu is organic vegetarian based delicacies - always a hit

Price
        One you cannot beat! (before September 19th)
        $70 for two nights accomodations and five meals. ($55 for
students/youth)
        $90 for business or government reps.
