Thanks, Wilf Bean ------- Notice Job Opening – Part-time Position Social Transformation Program Coordinator – Tatamagouche Centre Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to oversee the development and implementation of the Centre’s Social Transformation program stream in a manner that reflects the Centre’s mission and educational model. Objectives: * to maintain and develop strong, appropriate programs for the education and development of leadership for social justice and social transformation throughout the Maritimes. * to maintain and develop contacts and working relationships with selected Maritime organizations, groups and networks working for social transformation in the region and from these relationships, to develop collaborative Centre programs to support their development. The successful applicant will have: * a vision of social transformation within the Maritimes, * experience within organisations and networks working for social change and justice, * a proven background in the development of participatory and popular educational programs for social change, * the capacity to work well within a team and with a wide variety of people, including within community, church and governmental organizations, * an awareness of Tatamagouche Centre’s mission and educational model. * Relevant formal education will be an asset. Remuneration: This is a part-time contract position providing for 60 days of service per year. Remuneration is $160 per day ($9,600 per annum). Length of term: The appointment will be for a one-year period and then reviewed annually.
