Hello Sust-mar, Hearings on the oil and gas exploration leases. Although space in the hearings is extremely limited, it is important that people who care about conservation have a presence at the hearings, in the audience and with the media. Please consider attending for a day or two even if you do not have a reserved place to speak. Cape Breton hearings will take place at the Wagmatcook Culture and Heritage Centre (10 miles west of Baddeck) on the following dates: January 10 - oil companies January 11 (Fri.) January 15 (Tues.) January 16 (Wed.) January 17 (Thurs.) January 18 (Fri.) January 22 (Tues.) January 23 (Wed.) P.E.I. Hearing January 25 (Fri.) Montague, P.E.I. If you are able to attend (even for a day) it would be a great sign of solidarity with the people of Cape Breton and P.E.I. and for their threatened shores.
