[. . .] "We feel absolutely vindicated by this scientific document," said Mary Gorman, president of Save our Seas and Shores, a coalition of fishermen, aboriginals and environmentalists. "This is what we've been saying . . . for three years," she said. [. . .] "It's like a major highway," said Mark Butler of the Ecology Action Centre. "There are some areas that are too sensitive, too important to drill in." [. . .] "Really, there is no time of year when you can do seismic (exploration) without affecting (fish stocks)," Mr. Butler said. Mr. Butler said it's clear the government should take the cautious route and ban exploration in the area. "We still don't know a lot about this area, and we know even less about what oil and gas exploration would do," he said. [. . .] Fisherman see it as more confirmation that drilling should be banned in the area, Ms. Gorman said.
