CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

Wednesday, September 18
at the Fredericton Inn
1315 Regent Street, Fredericton, NB

The Capacity Building Workshop aims at bringing together New Brunswick
organizations, involved in environmental education and outreach, with
various media and funding agencies. Key speakers will discuss aspects of
climate change and mitigation. A media panel will help NB organizations to
understand how to utilize media effectively for education and outreach on
environmental issues. A panel made up of funding agencies will help
participants understand fund acquisition and related issues. Open dialogue
forums will provide an opportunity for participants to garner
information/knowledge from panel members. The lunch and breaks will enable
participants to network, and find opportunities for collaboration. The key
thrust in this workshop is climate change education and outreach, however,
this does not preclude groups who work in other environment and health
issues from attending - in fact this is encouraged. Finally, municipalities
are also being invited to the workshop so that they too can assess and
address their sustainable development and climate change concerns - in
partnership with other NB organizations.

The event is FREE - but you must register!
