'EXTRAVAGANT' LOBSTER DINNER COST TAXPAYERS: NDP
 The final bill for last summer's premiers conference is expected to
cost Nova Scotia about $260,000. And the NDP says the government spent more
than it needed to.

The cod fishery is in trouble, according to new reports. But fishermen in
Nova Scotia and the province's fisheries minister say Ottawa should leave
their area alone.

CORAL ZONE FISHING CHARGES DROPPED
The federal government is dropping court action against the first Nova
Scotia fisherman charged with fishing in a protected coral zone. The
Department of Fisheries and Oceans says the decision to drop the charges has
nothing to do with an embarrassing mistake it made last summer when its
scientists fished the same area.
