all-volunteer Board of Directors.  This person will fill the position of

The deadline for letters of interest to serve as a Community
Representative on the CKDU Board of Directors is Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at
5 p.m. 

The CKDU Board of Directors usually meets twice a month and deals with
station finances, staffing issues, ongoing projects, committees, and other
business as needed. In addition to Board meetings (usually every two
weeks), each Director is expected to sit on one committee (meeting once or
twice monthly). 

CKDU-FM is a non-profit campus/community radio station located on the
campus of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  CKDU is mandated
to provide a variety of music and information programming not available
through private broadcasters or the CBC.  The station broadcasts to
Halifax and the surrounding areas including much of Dartmouth, Bedford and
Sackville.  CKDU has over 200 volunteers and broadcasts 24 hours a day,
365 days a year.
