In August, Cape Breton Island will host two fabulous musical events. On August 10 at the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay and August 11th at the Strathspey in Mabou, SOSS will host exciting concerts to raise awareness that about the importance of opposing seismic blasting for offshore oil in gas in the sensitive waters off Cape Breton. Guitarist and composer Scott MacMillan has been lining up the talent. In addition to Scott MacMillan, confirmed so far are Gordie Sampson, Mary Jane Lamond, Brian Doyle, Dawn Beaton, local Gaelic singers, fiddlers and more.
