Thanks! ____________________________________________________________________________ The Sierra Club of Canada - Atlantic Canada Chapter seeks Environmental Educator for their Environmental Education Program Title: Environmental Educator Terms: Temporary, Full time Salary: $413/week, 40 hours a week for 26 weeks Start Date: November 1, 2003 Location: Halifax, N.S. Education: University or college recommended Experience: 1-2 years Language: Read English, Speak English, Write English Work Setting: Classroom, Office, Non-government organization Specific Skills: The job of Environmental Educator will entail the development and delivery of elementary school education programs. The job will consist of office and administration work, including filing, database development, communications, computer work, graphic design and layout. Development of educational programs that are in line with the Ministry of Education curriculum. Delivery of programs using public speaking, skits, slideshows, experiments and creativity. Additional Skills: A science background is recommended, a working knowledge of the Atlantic Provinces' ecological processes is recommended. The successful candidate must be creative, energetic and able to work unsupervised. Generic Skills: Must have good writing and speaking skills, computer knowledge, and work well with children. Other info: Must have own transportation within the Halifax area and able to travel for up to 3 weeks out of province.
