The successful candidate will have experience in some of the following areas: grant writing, project management, volunteer and staff supervision, financial management, working with non-profits, media relations, and networking. Strong communication and writing skills are required. Knowledge and/ or interest in organic agriculture is imperative. The ED will work from their home anywhere in the Maritimes, using their own office equipment. The ED reports to ACORN's Board of Directors by in person meetings and conference calls. The successful candidate would work closely with ACORN's Executive Assistant. The position would begin mid-April for a one-year period, with the possibility to renew. The successful candidate needs to be available to attend ACORN's Organic Conference March 26-27th in Cornwall, PEI. Salary: $28,000-35,000 - comensurate with experience and skills.
