CPAWS-NS Seeking Chapter Coordinator

The Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society is
seeking a Chapter Coordinator to start immediately. The coordinator will be
responsible for chapter capacity development, fundraising, strategic
planning, core operations such as financial management, and volunteer
coordination. The coordinator will also provide staff support for CPAWS
conservation programs and projects where required. Salary is $30,000 per
annum pro rata.

Previous experience in a leadership role with a non-profit organization
and/or past fundraising success is essential. The candidate should be
familiar with the environmental movement and environmental issues in Nova
Scotia, and should have experience working with volunteers. Excellent
communication skills, including media relations skills, will be required.
Computer skills, including network maintenance and familiarity with
accounting software would be significant assets. Preference may be given to
candidates with a bachelor's degree or better in a relevant field (i.e.
fundraising, PR, environmental studies, public administration).
