Clean Nova Scotia (CNS) and the Surfriders Association of Nova Scotia (SANS) have partnered again this year to present the 2004 Beach Sweep! Last year, 75 volunteers gathered to clean Rainbow Haven and Silver Sands Beaches in Cow Bay. This year we are going to tackle Conrad’s Beach in West Lawrencetown on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12th, 2004. Please meet in the main parking lot at 10 am. A BARBEQUE will follow for all beach sweepers! We hope everyone can come out to help. THE DETAILS: Event: 2004 Beach Sweep, presented by Clean Nova Scotia and the Surfriders Association of Nova Scotia Why: To help address the issue of shoreline pollution and clean up a beautiful beach and the surrounding trails. Where: Conrad’s Beach, West Lawrencetown [the beach just before Lawrencetown Beach] Main parking lot. How to get there: Take the Cole Harbour Road (Highway #207) out of Dartmouth. Turn right onto Conrad Road (approximately five minutes before Lawrencetown) and follow down to the water. When: Sunday, September 12th 2004 @ 10:00am. **Clean Nova Scotia will provide garbage bags, recycle bags, sharps containers and gloves for all participants. **There is no rain date – we will clean the beach rain or shine.
