Tip: Your message to SUST-MAR must be html-free. So, BEFORE you hit SEND, please go to your "Format" pull-down menu and select "Plain text." In OE, select "Tools/Options/Send/"Plain Text"/Apply/Close." Thanks!

                               .
Sust-martian Peter W pointed out recently that I could be saving myself a
lot of time and effort if sust-mar switched hosts to "web.net"

I'm very loyal to CCN and would hate to leave the community net. However,
weeding out spam and "bad" addresses consumes a lot of my time.

"web.net" would reduce this considerably because it has a more advanced
software (mailman instead of majordomo) that would do much of this for me.

PLUS, we would finally be able to carry html messages. So, you wouldn't
get those annoying rejection messages if you sent html.

"web.net" (Web Community Resource Net) is a non-profit that serves the NGO
community. See http://services.web.ca/about.html

BUT, it would cost us: $75 set-up plus $180/year

THAT MEANS: we'd need nine kind souls to donate $20/year, or six fine
folks to cough up $30 ...

THE BIG QUESTION: Would YOU be willing to donate so that sust-mar could
improve service? It would not be a lifetime commitment. I would remind the
list once per year -- a mini funding drive.

This is increasingly important as my web access will be limited for the
next nine months.

RSVP ... mailto:pfalvo@chebucto.ca

Thanks
~Paul

It wasn't the Exxon Valdez captain's driving that caused the Alaskan oil
spill. It was ours.
