Membership

Categories and benefits:

Full Senior (21 or over) and Junior (20 or Younger) Membership:

Includes membership in local club (if existent), Orienteering Association of Nova Scotia (OANS) and the Canadian Orienteering Federation (COF)
Subscription to provincial newsletter Aiming East
Subscription to national newsletter Orienteering Canada
the right to particpate in all nationally and provincially sanctioned orienteering events
eligibility to participate in championship classes at sanctioned events
eligibility for Nova Scotia Orienteering Series (provincial championship title)
eligibility for COF and provincial financial support for competitive athletes

Local Club Membership Only:

Includes membership in local club, Orienteering Association of Nova Scotia (OANS) and the Canadian Orienteering Federation (COF)
Only the designated group leader receives mailings
Associate members who wish to compete in championship classes at sanctioned events must register as individual members
A list of names, addresses and telephone numbers of all associate members must be provided to OANS

Family Membership:

There is no longer a family membership category as such.
Family members register as individuals (full senior or full junior).
However, the maximum membership fee per family is $55.00 (includes all full senior and full junior members living in the same household).
Memberships are valid from January 1 - December 31 each year. Members who join after September 1 will receive the provincial newsletter, Aiming East, until December 31 of the following year.
