A 16km deep water course beginning at Lion's Beach on Lake Banook. Competitors paddle to the top of Lake Charles, round and buoy, and return to the starting position. There are two 500 metre portages on gravel trails in Shubie Park. Municipal docks available on either end of the portage.

Lunch to follow along with the awarding of the Arthur Weston trophy and the Fred Lynch plaque. All participants require a PFD, bailer, spare paddle, painter and a number either on boat or worn on clothing.
