I briefly visited this seaside town in May 2019. It is located across the Bay of Fundy from Saint John, New Brunswick.

Churches

Digby United Baptist Church

This building dates from about 1876. It was used by other congregations before it was acquired by the Baptist Church.

Grace United Church

This building dates from 1861; it may have previously been a Methodist church.

St. Patrick's (Roman Catholic) Church

This church was built between 1934 and 1940.

Trinity Anglican Church

This church was constructed between 1878 and 1880. The architect was Stephen Earle.

Houses

Come from Away B&B

 

Green House

Designed by David F. Young, this house was the longstanding residence for managers of the local Bank of Nova Scotia branch. It dates from 1896.

Letteney House

 

Oakes House

This house was built between 1855 and 1858.

Roope House

This building is an excellent example of how structures evolve over time as the occupant's needs change. It was originally constructed as a residence and dry goods business.

Miscellaneous Buildings

Digby County Court House

The architect for this project was Leslie R. Farin, and the Master Builder was Joseph F. Bent. The building dates from 1909. It is in the Queen Anne Revival style.

Digby Pier Lighthouse

This structure was built in 1903. After a sojurn in Saint John, New Brunswick, it was returned to Digby, and moved to the present site in 2012.
