ATLANTIC CANADIAN

|
Following is a catalogue of groups,
bands, quartets, trios, duos, and solo artists based in the Atlantic
Canadian Provinces that Richard has lighted during his career. Included
are those for whom Richard was the regular "light man", ones that often
supported headliners on a bill of multiple artists, and "one-offs" that
he lighted only on a single occasion. Skip Preamble |

The list includes a number of bands that changed their names after a time but kept the same line-up. There are some where a name was used for years while musicians drifted in and out leaving maybe only one or two founding members left at the end. Still others had the same group for a long time and just kept changing the name every few months. That way they could keep playing in a smaller geographic area without wearing one name out. These have been noted, but only if Richard did lighting for these acts when using one of their alternate names. Shown too, are individuals who had various groups over the years under their own names. These would consist of the indicated individual along with differing back-up musicians. In addition, some of the other bands catalogued here also contained these individuals. So though there may be some duplication, these persons are also shown under their own names due to their prolific presence in the Atlantic Canadian music scene, and in some cases, the national scene. Be aware that any of the artists here may be included in other categories at this website, as well. Names with Question Marks indicate doubt as to whether Richard did lighting for the name or not. In most cases, the artist was on an outdoor concert bill with others for whom he did do the lighting. However, the performance may have been during daylight hours, and as such, the act should not be included here. Then there are those that were presented on a given bill but may have been prevented from performing on the day of the show for one reason or another. Although in doubt, these names shall remain listed until resolved. As well, it is hoped that by showing the names, responses might be received from those that know whether they were lighted by Richard Bonner, or not.
Not given are acts to which
Richard rented equipment, nor those for which he only did design(*)
work. Just those where he was physically present and involved with
the lighting and\or projections and\or special effects are listed
here. |

All acts are presented in STRICT alphabetical order (excluding articles), even for proper names. Many of the links here are courtesy of Peter Crowe's Nova Scotia Classic Rock. |
